Dr. Mukti Ram Paudel is an Assistant Professor at Central Department of Botany of the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. His major fields of interest are: exploration and documentation of orchids and their plant tissue culture and micropropagation, production of secondary metabolites in tissue culture, isolation of secondary metabolites, chemical characterization, and pharmacological activities mainly antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic and anticancer. Dr. Paudel has research experience in various projects funded by national and international organizations and has completed two research projects as principal investigator and two as co-investigator. He has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has also published a few books and book chapters.
